A year has passed since I destroyed my old site, and this will be my second post. Will there be a third? We’ll see!
In my professional life, I use a custom Headless CMS and every time I return to WordPress I’m overwhelmed by how clunky it seems. It still dominates the market share, powering 43.6% of all websites, so I am compelled to come back to it and see how it’s evolving. You can do so much with it, especially if you’re willing to invest in the right plugins and themes, but it is not easy to use out of the box.
The other thing is, the CEO seems like he might be nuts. In other times, a mad king of an open-source CMS might be amusing, but frankly there’s too much mad king competition in the world and I’d rather focus on something more enjoyable, like Willemstad, Curaçao.

In the past, I have used jonbostwick.com to represent my work and find clients. However, I’m developing a new site for my website production business, which I’ll release shortly, to fill that need. Here I expect there will be work-related posts as I enjoy what I do and enjoy sharing what I learn, but I would also like to show dog pics, talk about travels, the Mariners, and go over my other hobbies, passions, and frustrations. Maybe this time – maybe! – the site will stick. Cheers!
